ENERGY COMPETITION

EcoCats | Tips to Conserve | Power Saving Links

What is Wheesave?

Our purpose is to implement a Program that will educate students, faculty and staff about energy consumption and how it affects the economy, environment and our overall footprint of the Earth.

Our Goals Are:

  • Raise awareness about the ecological and economical benefits of conserving energy
  • Teach methods on how to reduce energy consumption on campus.
  • Have a positive impact on long term energy consumption habits of our university community.
  • Lower overall energy consumption in residence halls by at least 10%

What Can I Do?

To encourage more students to take part in our conservation efforts, Western will have its first annual Whee Save Energy competition starting Fall 2006. The competition will be among the residence halls so every resident, including you, should take part. The competition will measure which hall reduces their energy consumption the greatest amount for the 2006/07 academic year. A generous prize will be awarded to the winning hall.
